I'm so excited to invite you into a place where readers are heroes and books are the portals we take to thrilling adventures and heart-wrenching dramas in faraway (or not-so-faraway) lands. Creating this membership has been an adventure already, and I can't wait for you to experience what's inside.

Let me give you a teaser, much like the Grandfather at the beginning of The Princess Bride: "Mermaids. Monsters. Sword-fighting. Revenge. Betrayal. True love."

"Wait, Talena. Is this a kissing book?"

I mean, probably. :-)

If you, like me, want to experience hope-filled stories (with a splash—or a bucket—of romance mixed in) where we save the world one page at a time, then you belong here.

What’s in Store

I’ve got big plans for this membership. In fact, as I was creating my tiers, I had to keep reminding myself to keep it simple at first, because I can always add more features later when I’ve got this part of the process figured out.

One of the features I’m most keen to add, however, is an actual member forum, where community members can interact in a social-media-like atmosphere that’s not controlled by typical algorithms. If this is something you’re interested in, please leave a comment below.

As for the rest of my ideas, I’m going to keep those under wraps until I have a better idea what I’m doing.

But there’s already plenty to enjoy inside the membership. And guess what? There's just time before tea. Let's go have an adventure!

P.S. The image in this post is me imagining myself as an undine lady on the Island of Sirenia from my Rise of the Grigori series. I’m pretty sure books and tea would still be big part of my life (even if human books are frowned upon there… and awfully hard to come by).

I created hundreds of images while trying to find what I was looking for in a reader avatar for myself, and only came up with a few that were even close. However, I did create some other gorgeous art along the way, which I'll be sharing inside the membership. The Literati tier gets digital art first, but I'll eventually share it other places too.

P.P.S. I’d like to give a shoutout to my rockstar assistant, Kate, who has been designing many of the graphics that are being used in the membership rewards. Without her, it would have taken me a lot longer to get this membership off the ground. Thanks, Kate!
